The only requirement for C.A. membership is “a desire to stop using cocaine and all other mind‑altering substances.”
Meetings are free, anonymous, and held every day online and in person.
Thousands of recovering addicts are living drug-free and owning their lives again, by actively using the tools of recovery in the program of Cocaine Anonymous.
C.A.’s Self‑Test asks 25 short yes/no questions covering obsession, loss of control and consequences. For example:
Many of us were surprised how many times we answered “Yes.”

– and they are free to anyone with a desire to stop.
C.A. is a global, community-based 12-Step program for daily recovery that has worked for many thousands of people worldwide.
Taking the Twelve Steps prepares us for a spiritual awakening - a change in thinking, attitudes and outlook that frees us from active addiction.
By working the Steps, we begin to know a new freedom.

Our telephone helplines are available to anyone looking for help or information. When you want to use, call the Cocaine Anonymous hotline in your area – a member will answer.

Attend C.A. meetings daily. Meetings are where we meet other recovering addicts, share experience, strength and hope, and find common solutions through the Twelve Steps.

Cocaine Anonymous practises a Twelve-Step program for daily recovery that has worked for many thousands worldwide – a practical path of action one addict shares with another.
A C.A. member will respond as soon as possible with information, meeting details or their own experience. You do not have to give real names, as anonymity is at the heart of everything we do.
Thank you for reaching out – recovery is possible, and help is free.

A meeting is when two or more people gather together to share their experience, strength and hope with each other. The Group is the heart of Cocaine Anonymous and it is vital to the new member. We hold regular meetings to further this Fellowship, allowing newcomers to find us and, perhaps, the answers they seek. Most meetings follow a set format: a brief introduction for newcomers, a main share or participation, C.A.-related announcements and a voluntary collection so the group can pay its own way. Meetings are usually held in churches, hospitals or other community spaces, yet C.A. has no affiliation with these facilities and simply pays rent for the room, keeping us entirely self-supporting. Whether you arrive online or in person, you will find a confidential, non-judgmental space where one addict helps another and where recovery begins.
In person and online around the clock
C.A. is growing rapidly around the world. There are thousands of meetings every week. The online Fellowship of Cocaine Anonymous provides access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in addition to in-person meetings around the globe.
Only a desire to stop is needed
According to C.A.’s Third Tradition, the only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using cocaine and all other mind-altering substances. It doesn’t matter to us if you drank or what type of drugs you used; if you have a desire to stop, you are welcome in Cocaine Anonymous.
First names only – privacy protected
Anonymity is one of the most important issues in the structure of Cocaine Anonymous. Our members identify themselves by their first names only. This allows addicts to attend meetings without fear of legal or social repercussions and supports an atmosphere of equality and confidentiality inside and outside our meetings.
Every background, every belief
Anyone who has a desire to stop using cocaine and all other mind-altering substances is welcome; we come from various backgrounds with diverse beliefs and cultural norms. Drug addiction can affect anyone of any age and does not discriminate.
Choose your own understanding of a Higher Power
C.A. is spiritual but not religious, and our members are free to define their spirituality as they see fit. C.A. encourages each member to cultivate a personal understanding of a Higher Power.
Self-supporting through voluntary contributions
C.A. is FREE. Each C.A. group is fully self-supporting. Expenses are covered by the voluntary contributions of our members, literature sales and fundraising events. C.A. respectfully declines donations or financial contributions from any outside source.
Sponsorship and shared experience
The essence of C.A. is the spiritual concept of one addict helping another. Sponsorship is a very practical way of achieving this. Sponsors act as mentors or guides, helping sponsees work through the Twelve Steps. One addict talking to another provides a level of mutual understanding and fellowship that may be difficult to find through other methods.
We’re Here and We’re Free.
We in Cocaine Anonymous urge you: DO NOT DELAY. Meetings are where you meet other recovering addicts who share their experience, strength and hope so that together we find common solutions.

C.A. is not drug‑specific. It doesn’t matter what drugs or alcohol people have used; we welcome anyone with a desire to stop.
While our name might suggest we focus solely on cocaine, we address addiction to all mind-altering substances. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using cocaine and all other mind-altering substances.
Expenses are covered by the voluntary contributions of members, literature sales and fellowship events such as convention.
There are no dues or fees, no pledges to sign and no promises to make to anyone. We do not accept donations from organizations or individuals outside the Fellowship.
A sponsor is another recovering addict with more sobriety and program experience who helps you work the Steps. We suggest you start looking for a sponsor right away.
