1. Self‑Supporting
C.A. is suggested to stand strong on their own feet by covering all expenses through member contributions. This includes literature, World Service Committees and World Service Office operating costs. Self-support ensures that each meeting, group and area remains accountable and empowered to grow the fellowship.
2. Declining Outside Contributions
The 7th Tradition reminds us to lovingly decline outside financial support. Accepting outside funding could shift priorities or influence decisions something CA. works hard to avoid so it can stay true to its primary purpose.
3. A Spiritual Commitment and Responsibility
Self-support isn’t just about money, it’s a deeply spiritual practice. Contributing reinforces personal responsibility, humility, and gratitude for the fellowship of C.A. while strengthening the bond among members. Everyone plays a role, and every contribution matters.
4. Unity and Integrity
By honoring the 7th Tradition, C.A. meetings, groups and area protect their unity and integrity. Remaining independent allows Cocaine Anonymous to carry the message of recovery to the still sick and suffering
The 7th Tradition is a vital expression of C.A.’s strength and spirit. The 7 Tradition not only sustains C.A.’s growth, it empowers its members, deepens their commitment to one another, and keeps the doors open for recovery, through Hope, Faith & Courage
In the spirit of Tradition Six, C.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution.
